Welcome!
Studio One Dance was created last year (2008), with the collaboration of Claire Burns School of Dance(est.1994) and Sutherland School Of Dance(est.1969) although retaining our individual schools names. Future plans include Competitive HipHop and CheerLeading Squads, which will be up and running at beginning of the New Term, Professional Agency Representation for all talented Pupils to gain work in the industry. We have been working together with various pupils on several creative Dance and Musical Theatre projects, the first being Go Dance 09 at theTheatre Royal Glasgow, which proved a great success. Our most recent project was in April at the B.A.T.D. Scottish Championships, where Studio One were successful in winning - Novice C Trophy, Open F Trophy, Highest Marked Trio Trophy, Highest Marked Duet Trophy,Highest Marked National Trophy. Runner Up in Novice B, Novice D, Open C, Open D Sections, with Eilidh Torrie winning Most Promising Competitor overall. Studio One also took 8 Top places in The Scottish Tap, Ballet, Modern & Song and Dance Championships. We are enjoying very much working together and pulling on each others Strengths and Inspirations.
